Common Emergency Procedures
Dental crowns are commonly used to treat decayed teeth, damaged teeth, and to restore teeth after root canal therapy, so they are used frequently in emergency dentistry.
ROOT CANAL THERAPY
ROOT CANAL THERAPY
In order to prevent complications related to tooth infections, root canal therapy may be required if you have a very severe cavity, or if your tooth has been seriously cracked or damaged.
If a tooth can not be saved, sometimes an extraction may be necessary. Dr. Naik may also recommend a bone graft or other oral surgery depending on your needs.

A knocked-out tooth is an extremely serious dental emergency. First, recover the tooth. Gently pick up your tooth by the crown (the part you see when you look inside your mouth) to avoid damaging the roots. Place it into a container of cold milk, or preferably, Hank's Balanced Salt Solution to keep it moist. Then, call us at (469) 444-8464 to get help immediately. Your tooth must be replaced within 1-2 hours to save it. If you wait too long, it will die and Dr. Naik will not be able to replace it, so come into our office as soon as you possibly can.
Absolutely. A toothache indicates that something is wrong with your tooth. It’s likely that you either have a deep cavity, or your tooth is infected. Any swelling is a serious medical condition, and should be treated right away. Both of these conditions demand immediate treatment, so call us right away for an appointment.
